Carlos has been recognized by the local media ("La Nacion" and "Costa Rica Today") for his artwork and the ability to beautify the surrounding arquitecture with his eco-murals. In 1995 his murals were featured in "Encuentros con el arte", a five minute documentary shown in all the theaters in San Jose, the capital.
